I am a healthy, active, financially secure mature male widower of three years. Enjoyable pursuits consist of nature, music, the arts, camping, motorcycles, travel, birds, hiking, bicycling, small bore targeting and reading. Almost any area of interest is up for exploration. After eight years of retirement, my time is filled with many interesting pursuits. As to stature I am 5 foot 9 ½ inches tall and weigh 175 pounds. Keeping healthy and active is a primary concern as I want to thoroughly enjoy life unrestricted and to the fullest for many more years to come.My property, which I share with an animal I call my Doggett, is on the Dungeness River near Sequim in Callam County, Washington. She is a seven year old Shih-Tsu who is adorable, loves all people and all the attention she can muster.Photography is my primary passion with my work being displayed in the Blue Whole Gallery in Sequim. I do mostly B&W fine art orientated towards photographic story telling with current work primarily consisting of old farmsteads and ancient structures. Experiencing nature though moderate hiking and bicycling is also high on the agenda. Being a beginning dancer, a patient dancing partner is desired.Problem solving is also high on my list of favorite things to pursue. I thoroughly enjoy the challenge of finding a solution to a complicated problem or creating an efficient method of accomplishing a difficult task.For travel my favorite method is motorcycle followed by motorhome with motorcycle. than car. When on a motorcycle I typically camp out greater than 50% of the time. Most any type of cuisine is on the list with a preference to light white wine. Music listening preference is classical, country, blues and folk, 50s and 60s pop.
As to career, I am retired from the Navy and enjoyed the last 32 years of employment as an electronic engineer. Work consisted primarily of developing sensor and monitoring systems for the offshore oil industry followed by a stent developing avionics systems for the aircraft industry.
I desire to find a compatible lifetime partner with whom we together can pursue an active and fulfilled life. Primary is a priority for supporting each other’s dreams and passion. While I don’t consider myself co-dependent, a lot of satisfaction is derived from working with my partner in pursuing her passions.
