I give thanks every day that the house hasn't burned and the kids are okay. And so what if the house burns. It's a wondrous thing that God is so mindful of me.

I have three kids in their forties, seven grandkids and one great granddaughter, none who live with me or would want to. I was fortunate not to have the kid problems many parents experienced. It's my belief that if a two year old doesn't know the meaning of "no", the parent has already lost the battle.

My parents have been married nearly seventy years, and I have never heard either raise their voice to the other. I grew up thinking the man I married would treat me like Dad treats Mom. I guess I thought that came with the marriage license.

I read anything and everything and always have. I think outside the box, wonder about everything and ask so many questions others wonder if I am conducting a criminal investigation or writing their biography.

I enjoy exploring old buildings and townsites and walking through old towns' cemeteries. I like to think I am mechanically inclined. I love my tools and like to fix things around the house whether they're broken or not.

I don't have a pet at this time but have had dogs, cats, goats and parakeets in the past. I think someone who doesn't like cats has never had one.

The man I am looking for will be a faithful companion, my most loyal and trusted friend, and an eager and passionate lover. He will be my hero, and I will be abundantly his and his greatest fan.
