I think a first date should be something that is mutually agreed upon. Although I am never opposed to going to see a movie, I would prefer doing something where we can talk and get to know each other better. I have two advanced degrees and am gainfully employed working with technology. Its not only my daily job but one of many hobbies as well. To fulfill this one hobby I do consulting outside of my regular job and teach computer courses at a local university when needed. I dabble in a little bit of everything with tech and have yet to electrocute myself working with computers – working on house wiring is a completely different story though.
