| Я бы описал(а) себя как | ABOUT ME & WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR: Like most gals on this site, I'm looking for Mr. Right as my years of Mr. Right Now, while wonderful as they were, no longer represent what I want from a relationship. L0L After living in Hawaii, Arizona, Connecticut, and California most of my adult life in the USAF and civilian aircraft industry, I moved back to Florida in '08 to be closer to family. I'm a happy, well-adjusted, middle-aged gal that laughs easily, appreciates what's truly important, enjoys conversing with and listening to intelligent, interesting folks, and cherishes a fair bit of alone time. I am very comfortable in my own skin, low-maintenance, low-drama, secure in who I am and what I want, but not stuck in my ways. I enjoy saturating myself with life and finding humor and joy in most everything I do. The lines on my face truly are from laughing most of my life. I'm a real southern belle from Louisiana, but without all of the negative stigmas that are sometimes associated with the 'south'. In other words, I can be a proper, well-mannered, well-spoken, literate date at a cocktail party, then come home, put on sweats and belly laugh at a Will Ferrell movie. I'd like to RV and trailer bikes around North America, especially out west. I'd like to take a train all the way across Canada. I'd really like to be a snowbird as Florida sucks in the summer. And, while I'm quite comfortable with my own company, I'd like to find a fella to do all of these things with. I would very much appreciate a gentleman with history: not baggage; compassion: not narcissism; and whom lives his life rather than being a victim of circumstances. FAVORITE THINGS: My dog; air conditioning; outdoor music festivals at night; the beach in the spring; the woods in the morning; the mountains any time; the screen porch to watch "heat lightening" in the summer; nature (micro & macro); beautiful objects (natural or manmade); Florida rivers; the ocean; night-time sky with no light pollution; architecture... FAVORITE ENTERTAINMENT: Music! Mozart to Linkin Park. SciFi, Science, and History channels, and spy thrillers. HOBBIES: I’m a musician. I'm a project person. I like to design and then implement my designs, i.e., jewelry, home decor, sewing projects, gardens/landscaping. I like to build and fix things. Any excuse to use power tools! Away from home, I enjoy the water and nature in a low-key manner and viewing it all from a bike. FIRST TIME DATE IDEAS: Daytime: Meet for breakfast, then go sit at a park and chat, or meet at the dog park with our dogs. FYI: All possible love interests must pass my dog's inspection. Evening: Casual dinner at the beach, or other outdoor venue, followed by a walk on the beach to get to know one another. |
