Not being vain, this is difficult to write, so, to coin a phrase, "To know me is to love me.....". Well, I used to be conceited, but now I'm perfect.
Friends say that I am funny/witty with a GSOH (too lonely hearts? - sorry). I like to think that I am an honest gentleman who treats people with the respect they deserve, and only ask for the same in return. I enjoy a good laugh, and making others laugh too (the world is depressing enough already). I really enjoy cooking and entertaining/ socialising with friends - especially good times around a fire with a few cold beers and good bottles of wine. I'm no culture buff, but I do enjoy a good book, intelligent conversation and good movies, especially with "a good friend" and a bottle of wine or few. I like all sorts of music, (especially dance/trance stuff while driving/riding) but dislike gangsta rap and new R&B. I love animals and enjoy the outdoors, particularly around water (being Pisces probably) but don't get much of a chance over here (arrived from South Africa in 2000). A dream I have is to tour the UK & Europe by motorbike but I don't want to do it alone...
I would like to meet someone who is easy to get along with. A considerate lady who is intelligent, funny and witty and will appreciate that I always leave the seat down....

In order to maintain my assertion of honesty, I need to add that I have made myself bankrupt as I am on Incapacity Benefits (thankfully I'm not physically disabled). This is not something that I'm proud of, but I'd rather be upfront, even if it is unappealing. Hopefully you'll see past this as I'm still the same person as before but with more facets. I don't believe that bad experiences necessarily = emotional baggage, they can just be learning processes.
Having written this update, I hope you understand why I'm rather reluctant to approach you ladies first, so if you're not averse to corresponding with me, I'll be most grateful if you'd let me know.
