The all and powerful introduction. The window into one's soul. You can write down all the words in the world and they basically mean nothing. Are they truth or fiction? Only time will tell and with that being said here goes.

Who am I? Well I'm a kind, caring, honest (some people might say to honest), trustworthy, loyal person. Well that was probably a dead giveaway that I was a boy scout. Growing up a stuttering dyslexic which put a damper on my social skills. I grew out of stuttering but I'm still dyslexic LOL. So I'm kinda like the guys on The Big Bang Theory. I've had to rely on my brains to get me through life not my social skills.

I've been retired 10+ years, physically fit (weightlifting/cardio), financially secure, liberal-leaning (aka no trumper's please), journeyman machine repairer, entrepreneur (owned an industrial & environmental consulting firm).

I enjoy riding motorcycles (50+ year's), organic gardener, weightlifting, wilderness camping/canoeing, pool, cards, skiing, movies, traveling, scuba diving and I've even been known to write a poem or two.

I've been a member of the Wilderness Society, Sierra Club & ACLU since the 80s. I can go out for a night on the town or just stay home and cuddle. I'm perfectly fine doing things by myself but it sure would be a whole lot nicer and a lot more fun to share those experiences with someone special.

Even though I enjoy living on top of my big hill in the middle of 20 acres in BFE with its million-dollar sunsets I'm not opposed to relocating under the right circumstances. I like all of Michigan's seasons but that being said I would like to start spending my winters down south. Basically doing whatever sounds like fun and if we don't like the spot we picked, well we just moved to another. There's an awful lot of beautiful and interesting places and things to explore in this country. Doing it with a best friend/lover would be literally heaven to me. I have no plans on wasting my retirement sitting in front of a TV on the couch.

So if traveling this country coast to coast with the occasional out-of-country trip sounds like a pleasant way to spend your retirement let's talk and see what happens. Well in a non covid-19 world I would be done. With that being said, life's a series of obstacles and this is just one more. I'm sure two intelligent people can figure out a way to overcome it. Might just be the silver lining.
