When I started my career in my mid-20s, I decided to live my dream throughout all of my life rather than wait until retirement. I chose my career and lifestyle carefully, making sure that both blended well together. It was the best decision I made. I've traveled to my heart's content, lived all over the country, and worked at what I was meant to do. There's no pressure on me to live what I've missed because I haven't missed a thing. Neither love nor money could buy my experiences.

I'm a motorcyclist, and I've toured for 7 to 9 weeks every summer for the last 30 years. I haven't kept an accurate record of the distance I've traveled, but it should be up to the million mile mark by now. It's not a hobby; it's a lifestyle. I've come back from each one of these journeys, not a better, but a different man. Riding in Zen from sunrise to sunset for weeks on end does that to a person. Riding is part of who I am and what I've yet to become. Mine is not a staid, conventional lifestyle, and although it sounds adventurous and free-spirited and all, it's not meant for everyone. And since I'm not about to change my lifestyle, this reduces my choice of mates to ladies who ride and who have the opportunity and means to ride all summer long. So, unless you're a motorcyclist or would like to become one, I'm not the person you're looking for.

The one I'm looking for is a lady who abounds in respect, dignity, worthiness and praise; who is spiritual, witty, athletic, creative, fun-loving, articulate, financially secure, and fiercely independent; who values and settles for a monogamous relationship; who has a nomadic soul, joy-filled eyes, a perpetual smile, and an incurable case of travel fever; who wakes up bright-eyed in the morning to face the events and challenges of the day with temperance and compassion; and who goes to sleep at night with a sense of achievement and fulfillment. The ability to see the universe in a grain of sand and to stop and smell the roses, even dandelions, are equally desirable qualities. So is the ability to dance for hours on end. Most important, she would be a lady who, when she slept next to me, would make me stop to wonder at her beauty and admire the peaceful way she sleeps.

Dancing is very high on my priority list. I've been dancing most of my adult life, mainly country styles, and I'm interested in learning new styles — Ballroom, Salsa, and the like — with a partner. I'm looking for a lady who loves to dance, wants to learn new steps, and wants to go dancing every Saturday night.

I've been single most of my adult life and I have no children. I've taken good care of myself professionally, financially, physically, and emotionally. Compatibility in these regards is essential.
