I am a young 45 year old. Most people I meet think I am in my 30s. Looking for someone that is open minded, has a sarcastic sense of humor, and enjoys life as much as I do.

I've been told I am a cool geek. (I think that's a good thing) I like to goof around and often laugh until it hurts. I love riding my bike, wind in my hair, sun on my face! Drive out somewhere quiet and have a picnic, love it!

After several relationships this is what I know;

I go with the flow in most situations and I'm not afraid to change plans if things are not working out as desired. I know it is important to communicate and listen well to your partner. I wear my feelings on my sleeve and I feel so much better after talking. It also strengthens the relationship. I know I like snuggling next to the person I love and kissing often. I know the importance of a strong friendship. All relationships have ups and downs, it is a strong friendship that will get you through the downs. I know the value of asking for help from my partner. Friendship means sometimes you lean on each other.

I know the value of humor. Deep laughter heals, especially laughing at myself. I know it is easier to forgive my partner than hold a grudge. My stomach gets tight, my shoulders begin to get stiff and I don't sleep well. I know I am in touch with my emotions and I don't mind crying in front of my partner and letting her see my vulnerable side. It doesn't make me less of a man. I know I am an emotional lover not just physical. The stronger our relationship the better our intimacy will be.

I know the importance of a stable job, beautiful home, and enough financial security to do the things we want. I know I will support my significant other through highs and lows; from hospital visits to celebrations. I will be there until the end. I know I want to share my life with the person I love. I know the importance of doing things together; weekly date night, cooking at home, and weekends away when possible. I know I love doing things for my partner, little things like helping clean, helping wrap Christmas presents or putting up a Christmas tree.

I know my partner and I need our own space. We each need time to do things by ourselves or with friends. We don't have to be with each other all the time. I know I am not a jealous person and I respect my partners friends and enjoy time when we all hang out together.

I know how important it is to be with someone that gets along with your kids. Not all the time necessarily, but as much as possible. I know the importance of sharing and working together as a couple, when blending two families together. I know I like family vacations especially to Disney World. :)

Finally, I know I love being in a relationship much more than I like looking for one.
